Hurricane Florence has weakened more and now (as of 2 p.m.) has sustained winds of 75 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center. Hurricane force winds extend 35 miles from the center, and tropical force winds up to 170 miles. Fayetteville has gusted to 60 mph at the airport.
Here at The News-Journal, we've seen 38 mph, and have recorded .70 inches of rain since midnight.
